What is Bullying?
Rude | Is accidently saying or doing something that hurts someone else |
Mean | Is saying or doing something to hurt someone once (or maybe twice) on purpose |
Bullying | Is when you keep picking on someone because you don't like them or you think you're cooler, smarter, stronger or better than them |
What does bullying look like?
Here is a list of questions that parents could ask their child that can help to establish if what's happening sounds like bullying or other behaviour such as disagreement, falling out, conflict or unkind behaviour:
- When did this all start?
- How long has this been going on?
- What was your role in what happened?
- What have you been told and by whom?
- Who was present?
- What was your response?
- What action did you take?
If you think that you, your child or another person is being bullied, please speak to a teacher, a member of the leadership team, or anyone else you trust.
