Welcome back to term 6! 

We can't believe how quickly this year has gone but can't wait to enjoy the final term together as Year 2. 

This term, our whole school concept question is 'Is it better to adapt or stay the same?'. For Year 2, we are going to be exploring 'Where can you see change?' 

 

In English, we are going to start the term by exploring biographies based on "Grace Darling". We will then move onto writing our own fantasy story.

 

In Maths, we are going to be covering;

- time  

- statistics

- position and direction

 

For Science this term, we are going to be looking at Living things and their habitats. We will be exploring how animals have adapted to survive in their habitats and will venture around the school to make comparisons.

In the afternoons, in Computing we will be exploing natterhub and purple mash to look at the work of impressionist artwork to recreate our own artwork based on a range of styles. 

In DT we are going to be exploring sliders and levers and will be looking to create our own mechanism within a card which will be Summer themed for a loved one.
